Teens when in London or New York....or any big city that's playing Billy Elliot.....do not hesitate to go see it!!!
Loved it sooo much from the start to end.
I related to it because the cast were mainly kids, kids with talent. The musical is set during Margaret Thatchers reign as British Prime Minister, it showed the difficult times Miners and their families suffered, with unemployment because of warfare between the Unions and Thatchers Government and policies.
And the kids, like you and I, had to continue being kids.......kids with dreams and ambitions...... striving to succeed, although living in difficult times and hardship.
If you love dancing and singing, this play has a lot of it......and the play focuses on how important it is to spot and develop "natural talent".
Billy Elliot, born in lower-class Britain, brought up in a strong male dominated family, -where man work with their hands, work in hard labour- Somehow with the help of a female dance teacher, who spots his talent, and manages to convince his very male-father that Billy has a natural talent to DANCE, that he was unique and Billy eventually manages to be selected to join the prestigious London ballet.
teen-i-am: loved it soo much, cried and laughed through it, a must see xoxo
